Google’s TensorFlow some of the most advanced AI software in existence. It’s a massive vault of opportunities for the machine learning community. Mark my words. Applications created from TensorFlow algorithms will be more important than keyword software for SEO within two years. Enterprise SEO software will latch on to this open-sourced prize and change what they do. Use it or lose it BrightEdge, Conductor, and Search Metrics. OK, Google’s platform may not be the perfect core for these tools due to limitations imposed with licensing, but the only other code that will otherwise sit at the core of their applications will be other algorithms using machine learning.
TensorFlow is still an “experimental” software library for Machine Intelligence. It’s being designed to be flexible, so it can be adapted as AI researchers learn from doing rather than having to start over with each new idea.
The name TensorFlow refers to the mathematical tensors used in multidimensional calculus. The library was developed by Google Brain Team, with some contributions from other groups inside and outside of Google.
It’s an open-source software, which means it can be used by anyone free of charge. It’s available for download on the Google TensorFlow website, and it can be used with Python and C++.
The software library is very flexible. It can be used for image recognition, speech recognition and natural language processing as well as many other applications.
The core library is implemented in C++, but it includes Python bindings. It’s easy to build apps using TensorFlow with the Python API and hard to do so with the C++ API. It’s powerful and flexible, but it can be a bit complicated to use unless you are familiar with the basics of machine intelligence.
Software built from TensorFlow or AI will also change how much we rely on “experts” for content strategy and creation. It will complement topic experts, causing more content sharing (and we already have too much!) at a lower cost to create and– I hope to God– better quality from content creators that understanding setting a higher bar is most important.
